I'm soon off to Hammer Open Air but I thought I'd drop this here first. A 'zine post for change and a quite different one, Key of Alocer was a NZ publication and at least 4 issues were made - don't know if the planned 5th one was completed and released, possibly. The first 3 issues were more in the traditional metal fanzine vein, with several band interviews and some articles. This one has changed so that there are only three bands and William Gidney of the First Occult Church interviewed and the rest is articles. The articles are mostly ok to interesting, though some are a bit tedious read. I would be interested to read the old issues if anyone happens to have them (Fenrirsson?) - they had interviews like Unholy, Dead Christ, Acheron, Belial, Impaled Nazarene, Impiety + more (1st), Graveland, Martyrium, Pagan Rites, Twilight, In the Woods... + many more (2nd) and Absu, Deinonychus, Primordial, Aradia, Gospel of the Horns + many more (3rd). This issue is not actually mine, it belongs to an old associate but has been sort of forgotten among my 'zines. If you're reading this, sorry I've forgotten to return this, come and pick it up already! A bit different read that should be very interesting to all, recommended.

Interesting zine. I assume the editor of Key of Alocer was connected to Kerry Bolton as well? I see there is an advertisement for The Heretic, which was one of K.R. Bolton's publications.

Do you have a copy of the fanzine Hill Norge? I'd be interested to see that.

Yea, I have all 9 issues of Key of Alocer (last one was called "Koaxial"). They steadily went downhill in terms of content (eg more tedious and self indulgent on behalf of the editor), and became more of a mouthpiece for homosexuality and transgenderism... I knew the editor for quite a while, because he lived not far from me, but I moved away and severed contact. Last thing that I heard he'd followed through with a gender reassignment! hahaha

I don't have a problem in scanning them, even though I was just about to "donate" them to someone else.

Thanks for the comment. I don't know too much about the editor but Fenrirsson does so I guess he'd be the best person to answer. Unfortunately I don't have Hill Norge 'zine - perhaps someone reading this does?

@Fenrirsson:

Wow, 9 issues? Well, if the content keeps deteriorating I'm not really that keen on the last issues then but the early ones certainly interest me. Perhaps some of the later issues too, if you find time to scan 'em I'd be grateful!

Interesting fact is that Kerry Bolton actually used to do the typing and printing for Key of Alocer. Kerry and I used to be good friends, although I haven't been in touch with him for a number of years now. I think that I ended up contributing to around 20 of his quarterly publications, maybe more, maybe less (it's been a number of years after all!!!).

Definitely one of the signs of the deterioration of Key of Alocer was that the editor still had a ton of copies still lying around several years after they were released... Each issue was released in 200 copies only... For BM, the earier issues are much more interesting, although the questioning is, when compared to other 'zines of the time, nothing more than "on par".

Lucky that I have a new scanner that I've yet to try out...

@Fenrirsson:

As always, you're a vault of knowledge for the NZ scene, thanks!
Well, if you get inspired to try out the new scanner I'm more than willing to accept 'zine contributions. Even that Black Mountanus 'zine you mentioned being less than stellar!

It is great to see all those zines you uploaded (many I wanted to read for quite a while, including this one and all its other issues), but DepositFiles now wants the user’s mobile phone number and money. This affects quite a few of your links, so it would be great if you could also upload those through Mediafire.

Thanks for your comment but looks like you've picked the wrong option for download, I just tested this at work and the regular download works as it should - wait for 60 seconds, do the captcha thing and download. I guess you tried the gold download which requires you to register.
